New Website is Resource for Multiple Services From New Canaan’s Alliance of Business Professionals

A New Canaan based group of business professionals from the area has just opened a new website: www.allianceofbusinessprofessionals.com as a community resource which includes information about both the variety of left and right brain services offered and the members who provide them. The group encompasses professions ranging from legal services, insurance, banking and mortgages, financial advisory services, accounting and tax preparation, payroll & HR solutions for small businesses, and managed IT services, to real estate, architecture, interior design and feng shui,  public relations and graphic design, corporate branding, identity and marketing.

The new website was designed by Alliance member J. Berry, an experienced branding and identity professional based in South Norwalk who has conceived and developed complex , branding and identity systems for Fortune 50 clients including Johnson & Johnson, Texaco and Walmart. J Berry has received numerous awards, most recently a Gold Award from the Graphis.

The Alliance of Business Professionals was founded in 2004 by New Canaan attorney Morris Barocas and Bill Bergner, owner of State Farm Insurance in New Canaan. Alliance members share in weekly round table discussions of projects they are working on and seek advice as well as offer guidance to fellow members in order to enhance the services they provide their clients. Barocas, whose corporate, real estate, trust & estate law offices at 51 Locust Street have been the weekly meeting place for the group, says, “The group lifts me up. It’s like having your own board of directors – a sounding board providing support for one another. The members enable me to do my job better, because of the varied resources within the group – all experts within their field.”  As Bergner says, “We also like to reach outside the group and introduce people. Guests are often invited to Alliance meetings. Expanding our individual and collective networks is mutually beneficial for our members and their contacts.”

Rita Kirby, a realtor with William Pitt Sotheby’s in New Canaan says, “It’s good to meet every week. It helps us to stay focused. The glue is our support to one another and business gets done in this group.”  Carol Hollyday, a colleague of Rita’s at William Pitt added, “We are always learning from each other. There’s not a single meeting that we don’t learn something new.”

David Boudreau and John Murphy, Financial Advisors and Portfolio Managers with The Boudreau Murphy Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, joined the Alliance “to provide their clients with a broader array of services” according to Murphy who said, “Alliance members are all professional experts that are focused on doing the best job for their clients.”

Other Alliance members include Michael Gregor of ADP Small Business Services, Payroll and HR Solutions; Nancy Helle, free lance writer and public relations consultant; Patrick Hoey, Peoples United Bank, Banking & Mortgages; Anna Maria Kinberg, Interior design & Feng Shui consultant; Manny Louis, Managed IT Service Provider/computer & network installation & repair; Don Moyle Insurance Navigation, Health Insurance Solutions for business and individuals, John Nelson, Accounting, Tax Planning & Preparation and Andrew Nuzzi, A.I.A, Classical and Traditional  Architecture for 21st Century Lifestyles.
